In that division is usual to have great difference between two fighteres because its special conditions; but, it`s not the same in the previous divisions. If your argument is valid then we don’t need to have divisions. Anyway, the important point is the future. What about great matches possibles ?. Almost nothing in higher division.

@ bishop92882: I definitely agree with you that Laila is obligated to fight a big fight (or two even) before she hangs the gloves up. I hope the fights against Wolfe or Rijker happen. It will get me off her back, for sure, and will prove that she’s really the fighter she looks to be!

@anasella3 I agree, Ali took on the best even when he was no longer at his (ex. Holmes) and any way you look at it, its almost like Laila is obligated to try to fill those shoes. and I think the best fights would be either Wolfe or Rijker, right now her best wins to date were either Martin seen here or against Toughill, who although was established in MMA and is a tough woman, was kind of out of her element.

@sirapn Thats nonsense, look at it from the view of heavyweight fighters, and I will use one that is very comparable to Ali/Martin, Lennox vs. Tyson. Tyson fought around 218 or so, Lennox around 245, huge height and reach advantage on Lennox’s part, just like Laila had vs. Christy. Same thing. when Lennox won, no excuse, so what’s the case here other than Martin fans being pissed? She deserved to get whooped, she got beat at her own game. I hoped it would have been Rijker that did it though.

@ bishop92882: Good point! Mia and Laila are miles apart in regards to dominance and record. I just want to see Laila finally fight somebody who will summon her true greatness. Her father fought them all: Norton, Frazier, Foreman, Spinks and Holmes — all their prime! It’s about time she accepts a TRUE challenge or she’ll always be under the shroud of beating too many tomato cans!

@anasella3 Wouldn’t have made a difference if Martin was in her prime or not, Anani exposed her IN HER PRIME for being nothing other than a one-punch wonder, broke her down and dismantled any offense she had. Laila would have done the same thing, She came out brawling because of the trash Martin talked before. But I think both of them did duck Rijker, no doubt about that.
