What is a good credit card to get that you almost will never get turned down for?

I currently have two credit cards, but would like to get one final one. I’ve been getting turned down for a few recently that I thought sounded good. What are some good cards and websites where I can get a credit card that almost every gets approved for? I’m young(21) and trying to establish some more credit. My friend got approved for a Best Buy credit card tonight and his credit isn’t that good. However, I just want a main card(for example: visa, discover) and not a store card. Thanks for any help.

The sure-fire way of NEVER being turned down for a major credit card would be to apply for secured credit card. Basically what type of card this is, is that you give them money up front (say you ask for a $500 limit), and everytime you use that card, the money will already be in your account with that card and it will just come out. This secures to both the credit card company and to yourself that the money will always be in there, therefore there will never be any over-ages, late fees, and the the like and will guarantee you a strong credit building account. Does anyone know how to erase bad credit, or a good company that does it.?

We are trying to buy a house before April. credit is not that bad, but just has some items in collections.

As long as the information is true and correct there is no legal way to remove it from your report until the reporting time line runs out which is 7-years from the date of first delinquency which works out to 7-years and 180-days.

This is per the Fair Credit Reporting Act (Federal law).

Now what you can do is since these are collection accounts is see if you can get them to agree to whats called a pay for delete agreement, this simply says that in return for your payment they agree to remove the account from your report. Without this agreement paying these collections will not help your credit score at all.

If they agree, get it in writing before you pay them a dime.

If they will not agree, about the only thing you can do is pay them and at least when your credit is pulled the accounts will show as paid with a $0 balance.

The only other thing you might try is send them a letter demanding validation of your account, this requires them to send you proof that not only is this your debt but that they have the legal right to collect it. Be sure and send it certified mail return receipt required so you will have proof that they received it. If they can not provide this information including a copy of the original contract with your signature you can dispute these accounts with the bureaus and they should be removed.

How can i fix my credit report?

I had few credit card when i was 17 in 2001.I did not make any payment on it. Now the accounts are charge offs and dispute or something. Is there any way i can fix my credit because its holding my job. I really really need help????

they should be falling off really soon as long as you dont make any payments on it now it will hurt you again…7year fall off. the older those accts are the weaker they are in FICO calculations. dispute is option but then they will probably find you and try to collect… check dates of first defaulting or charge off and see when it can fall off.

Will my student loan help raise credit score from bankruptcy?

I filed a bankruptcy in 4/09 and I want to start re-establishing credit. I still have my federal student loan on my report, will this help? Or will I need to get a credit card?

No. You will need to get a loan (i.e. credit card or auto loan).

It’s not missing anything, however you could stand to cut some stuff out, a resume is only supposed to be 1 page long. First of all, you only need to list your qualifications once, so cut the one in your resume out. Second, only list your two most qualified, recent job positions, they don’t need a over view of your whole working life. Lastly, as far as Education goes, list your school, your major, minor, and that’s it! They don’t care what classes you took.

When will a new car loan start to increase credit score?

when I purchased my car 8 months ago I was told that it should boost my credit score if i pay it on time every month, I always pay it well in advance but have not seen an increase in my score.

Installment loans build credit history over time as you pay the monthly payment. Car loans need to be paid at least 12 to 18 months to actually increase your score.

How Do I Repair Credit After 7 Years of Delinquency? How Long Does It Take?

I asked the question as part of my previous one, but I’m hoping ot get more responses please.

After 7 years of delinquency, the bad debt falls off my credit report, let’s say I’m at a 400 credit score. How do I go about bettering my credit? How long would it take before I have a fairly decent one again?

I am really hoping to rebuild my life and begin to better myself. Thank you

O.B.T.W. utilities, cell phones, checking accounts, savings accounts, rent & gym memberships do not build credit since they are not reported to the credit bureaus because thay are not loans.

My credit score is pretty low 662 I dont own a credit card and i paid my car off in 3 years instead of 5 so i have no credit right now.I plan on getting a credit card to try and raise my score how long would it take to raise it to 700.Im trying to obtain a loan to buy a house

It seems you are a pretty responsible person, so there is an option you may not be aware of. Do either of your parents have a credit card acct that is pretty old & in good standing…also with a low balance? Explain to them what you want to do

Ask them what bank it is through. Call that bank & ask if an authorized user, when added to a credit card, would have this account reporting to the 3 credit bureaus. If it is yes, ask your parents if they will add you to their acct. This will give you a nice aged credit card account without getting a ding for having a recent inquiry as well as a new card. Make sure they know that you do not need a card for yourself & you don’t even have to know what the card # is.

The FICO scoring system likes to see a mix of credit. Having a car loan and a credit card on your file will be a plus. You can always be removed after you get a house & a CC of your own.

I would never give this advice to someone who had already tanked their own credit.
